Delilah is the daughter of Ballistic Records A&R Rich “Pulse Code” Loveday. Born in 5th December 2022 at 28 weeks weighing just 2lb 6oz’s Delilah was moved to the Neonatal ward in Swindon, UK where Rich and his wife Emma were told she would remain for up to 12 weeks.  

This prompted a new project, Rich along with production partner and Rated Records A&R James Pound decided immediately that it would be an incredible thing to create a track to release for charity, something big. Something so big in fact, that it would be too much for them to achieve alone, they needed help. 

Our good friend and artist responsible for both Rated Records and Ballistic Records artwork, the incredible Stu Patchitt has offered to create the artwork for free. 

Both James & Rich are very confident producers, but wanted something extra. It is for this reason the decision was made to work with an engineer to make this as big as possible. The cost involved coupled with the current cost of living crisis meant that engineer fees were a bit of a stretch for the pair, however as it is for a good cause they started reaching out to businesses to see if anyone would like to contribute and feature on the artwork. The response from 1, GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK Ltd based in Swindon was overwhelming. Director James Hylton loved the cause and offered a donation of £200 towards the costs. 

On 1st February 2023 a studio session took place, the cast included the legendary Dave Parkinson, Pulse Code & James Pound, with a demo form the main goal was to make the project as huge as it possibly could be. And with the wizardry of Dave this is exactly what happened. By the end of that day the track was done.

The Story Behind The Charities Inception

In January 2022 our beautiful baby boy arrived 11 weeks earlier than planned, weighing a tiny 895g (less than a bag of sugar!). We went on to spend 10 weeks in our local neonatal unit, watching our strong boy fight his way through.

NICU is a lonely place & at times can be very hard and disheartening. You have nowhere to turn and no one to talk to, despite being with other parents going through the same thing. Seeing the mental and physical stresses this journey brought us and other parents, we knew we had to support other families going forward.

We know too well that during this time, the first time to go is self-care. Taking time to make a coffee or grab lunch feels wrong. You want to spend every second there and it’s not possible, nor is it healthy for you.

This is where Tiny But Mighty was born! We hope to remind parents.

We can now let you know that through our donations page we raised a massive £480 for Tiny But Mighty Swindon

This is just an incredible amount for a small local charity, every penny really does count believe us! We cannot thank everyone who has donated to this cause enough. Really blown away.
